The site includes updates on the project, frequently asked questions, partner information and a forum for posting comments. It also includes a calendar for UCF Downtown Committees made up of almost 160 UCF and Valencia staff and faculty members, administrators and students, along with community and business leaders. Committees are exploring everything from academic programs and student engagement to transportation and safety. Committee meetings are open to the public.
Decisions about which academic programs will move downtown are expected in late Spring 2015, after university leaders receive recommendations from the committees and comments from stakeholders across and beyond the UCF and Valencia campuses. Also in development is a national-model program that would allow students with intellectual disabilities to attend classes at UCF Downtown and fully participate in college life.
Please check the UCF Downtown website regularly for updates. UCF also will provide email updates to faculty and staff members and students as the project advances.
