UCF’s recycling rate has improved each year since 2005. Events, academic buildings, and residencies are all areas where the university encourages environmental efforts. We hope to raise UCF’s on-campus recycling rate by increasing awareness about recyclables. For example, did you know that you shouldn’t recycle materials contaminated by food?
Here are the university’s rates since 2005:
- 2005/2006: 5 percent
- 2006/2007: 8 percent
- 2007/2008: 13 percent
