The University of Central Florida received a grant to enhance accommodations for students with disabilities.

The Eccleston-Callahan Memorial Fund of the Community Foundation of Central Florida will provide 10 adjustable tables and six adjustable chairs for the testing rooms in the Student Disability Services office.

The tables will accommodate students who use wheelchairs or need to stand while taking a test. The adjustable chairs will accommodate students who have difficulty sitting for long periods of time.

In addition to the furniture, the grant will provide $3,200 in scholarships for eligible students.

The Community Foundation of Central Florida is a public grant-making foundation that is home to nearly 400 charitable funds established by philanthropists who care about the impact of their giving as much as the charitable causes they support.

Student Disability Services provides academic accommodations to ensure equal accessibility to educational opportunities offered at all UCF campuses.
