Starter Riot (#ucfstarters) is the biggest free trick-or-treating event for students and is open to all UCF students, regardless of major. There will be free cupcakes and candy to satisfy the sweet tooth, free pizza to satisfy lunchtime hunger, free giveaways including an iPad Mini, and a lifetime of amazing ideas and opportunities. The event is possible through due to the generous support of CFE Federal Credit Union.

“UCF’s Blackstone LaunchPad is hosting this event to showcase how to engage entrepreneurship as a viable career path,” outlines Blackstone LaunchPad Director and Starter Riot Organizer, Cameron Ford, Ph.D.. “We will also introduce students to the abundant free resources available at UCF to help advance their dreams, ideas and careers.”

On October 31 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., the Starter Riot will break out in the Pegasus Ballroom located in the Student Union. The Starter Riot will also feature:

• Three-time Cupcake Wars champion/entrepreneur Holly Wilder from Sweet! by Holly,
• THE BIG IDEA* competition with $1500 in cash prizes,
• See exciting student startups amnd talk to the founders,
• FREE startup resources,
• Photos with Knightro,
• Halloween photo opportunities
• Other surprises

Students will be encouraged to create their own path and, perhaps, be their own boss. The concepts shared at the Starter Riot are all intended to teach students how to turn ideas into income.
