The Sophomore & Second Year Center collaborated with the Student Financial Assistance and college advising support offices in providing a “Financial Aid Information” session on October 11 for sophomores and second-year UCF students. This outreach information program was offered as part of “Sophomore Transition” initiatives.

Students received important financial aid updates and discussion on how “not to lose their financial aid” from Stephon Lewis and two other SFA representatives. The program discussion topics included: financial aid renewal, satisfactory academic progress, scholarships and Bright Futures, the loan process at UCF, and funds for books.

A number of questions were asked during the general Q&A portion of this session. One student commented, “This was a real valuable program, as I am concerned about keeping my scholarship after this semester. Thanks for offering this session.”
