According to a UCF release, the magic in the Harry Potter books is partially based on Renaissance traditions that played an important role in the development of Western science, including alchemy, astrology and natural philosophy.
The touring exhibit, created by the National Library of Medicine, is on display weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the College of Medicine medical education building, located at 6850 Lake Nona Blvd. in Orlando.
