Lea DeLaria, television’s first openly gay comic, will serve as keynote speaker during the closing ceremony of LGBTQ+ History Month. The event, sponsored by UCF’s Multicultural Student Center, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 12 p.m. in the Student Union Key West Ballroom (218). Admission is free.
DeLaria has enjoyed a multi-faceted career as a comedian, actress and jazz musician. She is widely known for her role as Carrie on Netflix’s hit series Orange is the New Black. Her address is titled “A Man for all Seasons.” A meet and greet with DeLaria will immediately following the event.
