The Diversity and Social Inequality Minor examines the social class, status, and power in contemporary global society. The minor facilities an understanding of social inequalities related to age, gender, race and ethnicity, social class and stratification, sexual orientation, religion, and family. The minor prepares students for careers and graduate school in a variety of fields, including those in non-profit agencies, human resources, and service organizations.

Minor Requirements

  • Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 in courses used for the minor.
  • At least 12 hours used in the minor must be earned at UCF within the Sociology Department.

Prerequisite Courses

  • Students must satisfy each course's prerequisites before enrolling in the class.
