The University of Central Florida seeks an innovative, collaborative, strategic, and visionary leader to serve as Dean of the College of Graduate Studies. The Dean will advance UCF’s graduate and postdoctoral enterprise through strong academic leadership, shared governance, and a commitment to excellence in student success, research training, and program quality.
Reporting to the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, the Dean will cultivate a culture that champions academic excellence, student success, and innovative research training. They will join a dedicated community of faculty and staff committed to supporting graduate students and postdoctoral scholars through high-quality learning environments, holistic services, and opportunities that unleash potential and prepare scholars to shape the future.
The Dean oversees the full scope of UCF’s graduate and postdoctoral enterprise, with broad responsibility for university-wide graduate strategy, policy and program development, enrollment and student services, graduate funding, and degree certification. The portfolio also includes leadership of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, interdisciplinary graduate programs, Graduate Council processes, and key initiatives that support persistence, progression, and career readiness for nearly 10,000 graduate students and more than 250 postdoctoral scholars. The role further involves strengthening partnerships across UCF’s 11 colleges and external stakeholders to enhance the visibility, quality, and impact of graduate education at one of the nation’s largest metropolitan research universities.
