A group of business students appeared in the “Making a Difference” segment on WKMG-Local 6 to discuss their work with Kids Beating Cancer, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness on the importance of blood marrow donations.
The students are part of the cornerstone class that is required to complete a service learning project. The five-member team named the Cuddle Committee, submitted a business plan to help raise awareness and help find bone marrow matches in the UCF area. Team members include: Kevin Mark, Alejandra Ortega, Luis Pera, Shannon Schlechter and Frank “Duke” Torbert.
