Nursing Instructor Sigrid Ladores placed third among all peer-reviewed posters at the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society’s 17th Annual Research Day for her work on “Investigating Postpartum Depression in the Teenage Mother Using Three Different Qualitative Approaches.”

Ladores teaches in the UCF College of Nursing and is the clinical instructor for the college’s Community Nursing Coalition in Parramore. She is currently working toward her Ph.D. in nursing at the University of Central Florida.

Founded in 1922, Sigma Theta Tau is an international nursing honor society that supports the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide. Membership is by invitation to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing.

UCF College of Nursing is home to the Theta Epsilon chapter of Sigma Theta Tau and hosts the nursing honor society’s annual Research Day event.
