Every dollar invested in UCF delivers a strong return on investment, with UCF producing more than 9,000 highly skilled graduates this spring — and 18,000 graduates annually — who contribute to Florida’s workforce and economy for decades.

Inspired by personal experiences and dreams of becoming doctors, these Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences students have thrived in academics and research at UCF.

Learning sciences and educational research professors are studying how meditation and mindfulness techniques, as well as AR and VR, could reduce mind-wandering and stress levels in college students.

The winning business, Accuity, provides videos, exam reviews, and one-on-one tutoring with a goal of improving accounting course pass rates and achieving 75% adoption among students.

“It is a great feeling when you know that  you’ve provided knowledge that can help bring us one step closer to treating a disease,” UCF Ph.D. Candidate Nasser Yousef says.

For American Heart Month, meet Hailey Glowiak ’21, a future family nurse practitioner who has seen the impact of cardiovascular disease first-hand, and knows the importance of empathy and education in caring for cardiac patients.

The three-year grant will incorporate career resources into three areas: curriculum; the academic success coaching community; and technology.
