Jagdish Sheth, a leading expert on the business industries of China and India, will speak Thursday, Sept. 2, at the University of Central Florida.

Sheth will give a presentation titled “Chindia Rising” at 3 p.m. in the Key West Ballroom of the Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.

Sheth is the author of “Chindia Rising: How China and India Will Benefit Your Business.” He is also the founder of The India, China, America Institute, a nonprofit organization that fosters research and the spread of knowledge on the rise of China and India and the impact that both nations have on global markets, resources and politics.

Sheth has worked for many industries and companies in the United States, Europe and Asia, both as an adviser and as a seminar leader. His clients include AT&T, BellSouth, Cox Communications, Delta, Ernst & Young, Ford and GE.

He is also a professor of marketing and the founder of the Center for Relationship Marketing at Emory University in Georgia. Previously, Sheth was on the faculty of the University of Southern California, where he founded the Center for Telecommunications Management.
