Calling all UCF students: Is your Instagram game strong? Are you all about the aesthetics? We want to see the best that you’ve got.

Celebrate the start of the new school year at UCF by sharing a photo that encapsulates how it feels to be a Knight. Due to the university’s closure in response to Hurricane Dorian, the contest has been extended through Sept. 15. Students can win black and gold swag by posting their best back-to-school photo on Instagram.

In order to be eligible to win:

  • Participants must be currently enrolled in at least one class at UCF.
  • Participants must follow UCF on Instagram prior to entering (@ucf.edu).
  • Participants must have a public Instagram account for entries to be valid.
  • Only one submission will be considered per account.
  • Participants MUST tag UCF’s account (@ucf.edu) in their photo (not the caption) and use the hashtag #UCFirstDay in the caption to be considered for valid entry.
  • Read the full terms and conditions.

The winning entries will be selected from five categories:

  1. Downtown
    • If you’re attending or visiting the new UCF Downtown campus, capture the excitement and beauty of going to UCF in downtown Orlando.
  2. Murals/Artwork
    • Incorporate a mural, sculpture, painting or stained glass window into your photo. Get creative and show us the most Instagrammable spots at UCF!
  3. Campus Beauty
    • Show us what you love about your campus that most people may not know or that’s from a new perspective.
  4. UCF Spirit
    • When we say ‘Go Knights!’, you say ‘Charge On!’ Love your school? Show us how much.
  5. Best of UCF
    • This goes without saying, but we’re looking for the best of the best. Overall quality, composition and love of UCF!

Each winner selected will receive a prize pack that includes a UCF-themed Corkcicle, Charge On poster, Charge On pennant, Charge On pin, UCF Downtown portable charging device, UCF Downtown T-shirt, Orlando’s Hometown Team flag and Orlando’s Hometown Team lanyard.

Winners will be notified on Monday, Sept. 16, by @ucf.edu through direct message and social media posts.
