Crowd management is an engineering problem in its own right, drawing on operations research, queue design, ride throughput modeling and increasingly on software for virtual queues that let guests reserve a place in line through an app. The academic home for the management side of this discipline in Florida is UCF Rosen College, the only management-focused undergraduate home in the state for theme park and attraction management.
