A theme park is engineered as a coordinated production across multiple disciplines: structural for the buildings and ride supports, mechanical for the vehicles, electrical for the controls and show systems, civil for the site, software for the ride logic and show engineering for the animatronics, projection, lighting and audio. Each specialty designs and tests its piece, and the whole system has to be certified against international safety standards before it can open.
