Welcome, Knights!

Today marks the first day of our fall semester and we have a lot to be excited about.

We’re celebrating our downtown campus opening and the opportunities it means for students, faculty and staff living, learning and working in the heart of Orlando.

This fall, we’re welcoming an incredible new group of students and 130 new faculty members who will build upon our foundation of excellence, inclusion and impact.

And that’s just the beginning. In the video above, I share a few more reasons Katie and I are so proud of our #UCFamily and what’s in store this year.

This year is about recognizing our commitment to do extraordinary things and keep driving for excellence in everything from academics to athletics. That’s what we mean when we say, “Charge On!”

If you’d like to hear more about UCF’s promising future, please join me on Sept. 30 at 2:30 p.m. in the Pegasus Ballroom at the Student Union, where we’ll celebrate at a special “State of the University” event.

In the meantime, be sure to connect on Twitter @ThadSeymour to share your favorite UCF moments and aspirations for our future. And I hope to see you at a packed Spectrum Stadium Thursday night when the Knights kick off the football season.

Looking forward to a great year ahead!

Go Knights … Charge On!
