Do you enjoy watching “Dancing with the Stars?” Well, here is your chance to see Bob Holmes, UCF’s own “Celebrity Dancer,” take to the dance floor!

The Femmes de Coeur (Women of Heart) are hosting their annual “Let Us Entertain You” dancing contest on Sunday, May 17th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Cheyenne Saloon and Opera House, Orlando.

This event is benefitting the nursing programs at the University of Central Florida, Seminole Community College, Valencia Community College and Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.

Each benefiting organization has a representative dancing in a “celebrity” dance challenge. Bob Holmes, CEO of the UCF Foundation and VP of Alumni Relations and Development, is competing against representatives from the other nursing programs for best dance routine.

Other local celebrities include: Toni Gitles (author and motivational speaker), Peggy Crosby (UCF supporter and local philanthropist), Karen Volusion (owner of Innovative Nursing & Innovative Pharmacy), Patrick Buffa (VP of RBC Wealth Management), Robert Wesley (Public Defender in the 9th Judicial Circuit), Dr. Gary Spencer (Pastor of First United Methodist Church, Orlando), and Linda Miller (philanthropist).

The event also features a live band, a professional dance show, silent and live auctions, food from Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and more. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the door just prior to the event for $50/person (cash or check).

Come out to cheer for Bob and help raise money for the UCF College of Nursing! Last year’s event raised $10,000 for the UCF nursing scholarship fund.
