Delta Epsilon Iota (DEI), a career service-oriented honor society, recently held its Induction Ceremony. Career Services office staff and a national representative for DEI welcomed over 150 new members into the organization. Approximately 300 family and friends joined in the celebration, which recognized academic achievement and introduced new members to their campus partner, Career Services.

In 2008, the UCF DEI Chapter coordinated career-oriented programming and social gatherings for its members, participated in the Alumni Mentoring Knight and exceeded their fund-raising goals for Relay for Life. The chapter’s mission is to educate its membership on career development issues, encourage students to excel academically, and promote the principles of dedication, enthusiasm, and initiative in all aspects of campus life. Their new board is looking forward to the upcoming academic year with more opportunities for member development, leadership and involvement.

Career Services’ staff members Evelyn Lora-Santos and Heather Engelking serve as co-advisors for the UCF chapter. DEI serves as a bridge between outstanding students and Career Services.

Career Services is an office in the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services.
