- Bo Clark scored a school-record 70 points in a 135-88 victory over Florida Memorial in 1977.
- Former head coach Torchy Clark led the program to the final four of the 1977-78 NCAA Division II Championship.
- In 2007, the team opened its new 10,000-seat arena.
- During the 2008-09 campaign, Jermaine Taylor received All-America honors after ranking third in the country in scoring at 26.2 points per game.
- Taylor finished his career with 1,979 points, the most scored by an individual since the program moved to the Division I level in 1984.
