Programs that map directly onto the field are rare. UCF runs the first stand-alone Themed Experience M.S. and MFA at a public university (2019), the only management-focused major in Theme Park and Attraction Management in Florida (Fall 2023) and the UCF/Universal Creative Lab — the first-ever themed experiences industry-academy partnership of its kind. The first-of-its-kind Universal School of Experience Leadership & Innovation is housed within the Rosen College of Hospitality Management. With the addition of Universal’s new school and the college’s School of Hospitality Leadership, students now have access to a dual-school model that brings together experience-focused education with business strategy, operations, and service leadership. Another benefit is that UCF sits less than a mile from Epic Universe, with six of the world’s top fifteen theme parks within reach.
