BIOGRAPHY: 

Merope received her BS in Marine Science from the University of Delaware in 2016. Merope is a field biologist and has worked with sea turtles on Florida and Texas beaches, as well as spawning salmon in the rivers of Washington state. She is passionate about public outreach, environmental education, and wildlife research and conservation.

RESEARCH: 

Merope is interested in the effects of climate change to sea turtle populations, specifically focusing on nests laid later in the season that are impacted by cooler temperatures, increased rainfall, and major storm events.
