The Vice Provost will provide inspirational vision and strategic leadership to strengthen faculty recruitment, development, advancement, and retention across the university. This leader will champion academic excellence and build upon UCF’s national and international recognition as a world-class research university.
Reporting directly to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Vice Provost will empower exceptional scholars and educators who drive innovation, discovery, creativity, and student success, and foster a culture of belonging and excellence. The Vice Provost oversees universitywide initiatives and offices dedicated to faculty achievement, including the Karen L. Smith Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, and leads programs that promote excellence in teaching, research, and service.
Working in close partnership with college deans, department chairs, and shared-governance leaders, the Vice Provost will champion a culture of belonging and continuous improvement to ensure UCF remains a destination of choice for outstanding faculty. The Vice Provost will also foster collaboration to expand opportunities for professional development and mentorship so faculty can thrive at every career stage—from recruitment and tenure to emeritus recognition.
