Rosen College was delighted to host visiting professor Yoji Nagasaki during the months of January and February 2011.

Mr. Nagasaki is the director of Muromachiya, Inc. a PR & Communication Agency with Dedicated Hospitality based in Tokyo, Japan.

Chosen by the Japan Travel Agency, Ministry of Land Infrastructure, Tourism and Transport as a visiting scholar, he focused research on the theory of US hospitality and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) in terms of public relations.  “After learning it at Rosen,” shares Nagasaki, “I have to energize the MICE marketing in Japan.”

This visit marked his first to the United States.  His previous travels have taken him to the UK, Russia, France, Korea and Austria.  Rosen College Associate Dean, Dr. Tadayuki Hara, welcomed Nagasaki and facilitated the visit.

“Rosen College is exactly amazing,” shares Nagasaki. “The faculty, staff, classes and students — I want to stay here and learn more.”

Nagasaki hopes to work with Rosen College in the future and encourages Americans to visit Japan.  He feels that the sushi, rice wine and polite disposition of the Japanese are excellent draws for the tourism market.
