Dr. Mary Lou Sole has been inducted as a fellow in the American College of Critical Care Medicine. This prestigious distinction honors practitioners, researchers, administrators and educators who have made outstanding contributions to the collaborative field of critical care. There are less than 60 nurse fellows in this interdisciplinary organization.
Dr. Sole is a professor in the College of Nursing and has more than 30 years of nursing and classroom experience. She is an expert in airway management and mechanical ventilation and infection prevention in acute care. Dr. Sole is also a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, a distinction held by about 1,500 nurse leaders nationwide, and holds the university’s highest faculty honor as a UCF Pegasus Professor.
