First Generation Program
If neither your parents nor guardians have a bachelor’s degree, you qualify as a first-generation student.
Our First Generation Program empowers you to develop a meaningful UCF experience since you won’t have the advantage of asking your parents questions about theirs.
Participants benefit from one-on-one guidance and advising, and the chance to build relationships with fellow students, faculty, staff, community professionals and alumni. If you have financial questions or want information about scholarships, academic success, how to get more involved, counseling, internships or future planning, the program can refer you to the appropriate resource.
The program will help you transition to university life, provide you with an academic home, demystify the college experience, assist you with navigating through the university landscape, and help you prepare to succeed at UCF and beyond.
