Student Government (SG)
It’s important that your voice is heard at UCF.
And our Student Government ensures that it’s not only heard, but that it’s taken seriously.
The SG is a representative body modeled after the U.S. government. Through its Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches, SG aims to represent student issues and concerns at all levels of university decision making. SG relies on governmental affairs divisions, committees and professional lobbying firms to get things done.
With a $19-million-dollar budget acquired from student fees, SG maintains hundreds of student jobs, oversees two facilities (the Student Union and Rec & Wellness Center), and constantly creates new services and initiatives to improve campus life for all UCF Knights.
Beyond implementing new services, perhaps SG’s most vital role is to protect student interests in both the UCF administration’s decisions and decisions made at the state level.
