Biography

Carissa Baker is an assistant professor of theme park and attraction management at UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management. She is involved with academic and industry organizations including the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), and the Themed Experience and Attractions Academic Society (TEAAS). Dr. Baker has taught in China in addition to having two stints as a Visiting Scholar at Breda University in the Netherlands. At UCF, she is the advisor of the Future Theme Park Leader Association (FTPLA) student organization. Her primary research focus is narratives in the theme park space.
