What’s it like to live on campus? It means being in the center of everything—classes, food, study spots, student resources, athletic events and social happenings—all within walking distance. Living on campus also provides you with endless opportunities to get involved in student activities and succeed academically. At UCF, the on-campus living experience truly makes a big difference.
Does your college, major or employer require you to be First Aid and CPR/AED certified? Are you looking to gain lifesaving skills as part of your own development? Look no further than the UCF Recreation and Wellness Center. Our Risk Management Instructors are American Red Cross® certified to teach CPR/AED and First Aid courses.
Hungry for variety? UCF Dining Services has you covered with an array of convenient dining options. Whether you’re picking up a quick snack or sitting down to a well-balanced meal, and whether you live on campus or commute to class, we have a dining membership that’s right for you.
Feeling sick or experiencing an injury? At UCF Student Health Services, students have access to convenient, high-quality health care without having to leave campus. Our providers are trained to diagnose and treat a wide variety of concerns, including skin conditions, colds and flu, infections, depression, injuries and more. Best of all, students’ primary care consultation and evaluation by our health providers are covered by the Health Fee, included in their tuition.
Knowing your status is the first step in keeping yourself and others safe. With HIV and STI testing from both UCF Student Health Services and UCF Wellness and Health Promotion Services, it's easy to get tested and have a better understanding of your health. If you are 25 or younger and sexually active, you should be screened for sexually transmitted infections at least once a year—even if you don’t have symptoms
Curious about canoeing? Pumped to go paddleboarding? Look no further than the Lake Claire Recreation Area. Located at the north end of Greek Park Drive, Lake Claire gives students the opportunity to explore nature by kayak, play sand volleyball or have a cookout with friends. Best of all, it’s free!
Calling all outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers! Turn your compass toward UCF’s Outdoor Adventure program and you’ll discover a whole new world of excitement and thrills. From hiking, biking and climbing to rafting, paddling and camping, students of all experience levels are welcome to take part in the activities our team offers. UCF Outdoor Adventure also offers accessible and inclusive outdoor equipment so every Knight can enjoy the outdoors.
Getting and staying fit takes work. For some of us, it takes a little motivation, too. Our team of nationally accredited and certified personal trainers are available for fee-based, 60-minute sessions all year round. Better yet, your first session is free.
Reading is fundamental — and also required in many courses at UCF. For textbooks, school supplies, apparel and so much more, stop by the UCF Bookstore. Textbooks are available for purchase and rental, and we offer a buyback program for many materials throughout the semester.
