Academic Services for Student Athletes (ASSA)
We’re always rooting for our UCF athletes whether in the game or in the classroom.
That’s why Academic Services for Student-Athletes provides mentoring, tutoring and academic advising to all who need it.
If you’re feeling slightly overwhelmed between heading to the gym, practice and class, you’re not alone. In fact, more than 45 percent of UCF student-athletes receive one-on-one academic mentoring on a weekly basis — and this includes all new student-athletes entering UCF.
Tutoring is available in more than 75 courses five nights a week, so you can come when it’s convenient for you. When you happen to be busy running from class to practice with no computer in tow, no need to worry. There are over 50 computers available for use in one of three monitored study areas reserved specifically for student-athletes.
Athletes traveling for competition may be eligible for academic accommodations on the road. A learning specialist is also on staff to help those students diagnosed with learning disabilities and to ease their transitional needs.
