In order to earn your Master of Science in FinTech, you’ll need to complete 30 credit hours. Of the 30 credit hours needed to complete this degree, at least half must be taken at the 6000 course level. Your course schedule may vary based on previous experience, training or transferable credits.
Number of Core Classes
The FinTech MS is a 10-course (30-credit hours) with 5 courses (15-credits) each in Finance and Computer Science and will not have any tracks or specializations.
The independent learning requirement is met by successful completion of a capstone project in the required course FIN 6704 (Capstone Course), which will be an applied project in financial technologies.
Dive into the world of blockchain with this introductory course that covers consensus and decentralization mechanisms, symmetric and public key cryptography, bitcoin protocols and APIs, alternatives to bitcoins, as well as scalability and other challenges of blockchain systems.
