Biography

Dr. Angela White-Jones is currently the Director of the Master in Research Administration program at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and a Lecturer in the School of Public Administration at UCF. She teaches courses specifically related to grant and contract management, program evaluation for public programs, strategic planning and management, and leadership and organizational models in research administration. Dr. White-Jones brings extensive professional experience in grants management and research administration in the private, nonprofit, and government sectors. Dr. White-Jones believes in the connection between theory, developed data, and the dissemination of ideas through practical application and best practice development. Professionally, Dr. White-Jones has written and been awarded over $30 million in grants and contract funding in her career including solo and team participation on proposal teams for awards from Florida Housing and Finance Corporation, Housing and Urban Development Community Block Grant, and Agency for Persons with Disabilities as well as various foundations and corporate sponsors.

Dr. White-Jones’s primary research interests include:

  • Grant and Contract Administration with specializations in funding during and post-disasters, proposal process management, and compliance
  • International Research Administration and Collaborative Teams
  • Social enterprises, NGOs, and Community Advocacy
