Biography

Abdul-Akeem Sadiq’s research focuses on disaster preparedness, risk perception, interorganizational coordination and the behavioral dynamics of terrorism response. He has conducted empirical studies on major crises including the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Hurricane Irma and the COVID-19 pandemic, using survey and interview data to assess public risk perceptions and evaluate emergency response coordination. His work also explores the correlations between natural hazards and human trafficking.

A National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) Fellow, his scholarship contributes to both theory and practice in disaster risk governance, informing policy and academic dialogue on building more resilient communities.
