Biography

Dr. Jorge Ridderstaat is an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management. With a background in economics and tourism, his work explores how tourism development intersects with community well-being, economic systems, and visitor behavior.

He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has worked with both academia and industry to shape tourism policy and practice.

Dr. Ridderstaat previously served as Director of the Research Department at the Central Bank of Aruba and holds a Ph.D. in Tourism Economics from the Free University of Amsterdam.
