Biography
Sarah B. Bush investigates how transdisciplinary STE(A)M problem-based inquiry can transform mathematics for students and teachers alike. Her research evaluates the effectiveness of professional development efforts across STE(A)M disciplines, and she studies the role of mathematics and STE(A)M teacher leadership as a means for systemic change.
Her work supports the development of collaborative STE(A)M teaching practices designed to empower educators and learners, contributing to models of teacher leadership and professional learning that promote innovation in STE(A)M education. Most recently, Bush is exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can be intentionally leveraged in the exploration of authentic STEAM/STEM investigations to inspire youth and strengthen communities.
