Through mixed-methods research, program evaluation, community-based participatory research, and scholarship of teaching and learning, Hou aims to improve health outcomes related to aging, brain health and lifestyle intervention. Hou uses her research findings to develop and implement theory-driven health programs, assess psychosocial factors influencing health behaviors, and evaluate intervention efficacy.
