Biography

Dr. Yu Tian is an Associate Professor in the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting at the University of Central Florida where she teaches cost accounting and intermediate accounting. She received her Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of South Carolina. Her research focuses on the design of formal and informal organizational control systems and their effects on individuals’ behavior, performance, judgment and decision making in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Dr. Tian’s research has been presented at national and international conferences and published in multiple accounting and economics journals, including Contemporary Accounting ResearchJournal of Management Accounting ResearchJournal of Economic Behavior & OrganizationBehavioral Research in Accounting, and the Journal of the American Taxation Association.
