The Integrated Science & Technology degree is a multi-disciplinary program degree intended for students who seek an academic background in preparation for a career or professional program that values a degree from a STEM related field. Working with the program director, students can customize their coursework by integrating multiple areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This is an ideal option for students who may have interest in more than one STEM-based major offered by the university, but a single degree does not meet the needs of a student's plans.

The Integrated Sciences Education Track is designed to provide students with a foundation to promote and deliver on student success in a K-12 or post-secondary instructional setting by offering a solid academic background in the sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics. With the flexibility to design a program that is tailored to your career, professional, or graduate school goals, this track may be an especially attractive option if you have a continued interest teaching science education at the secondary-school level or have interest in pursuing a master's degree to teach at a state or community college.

This track does not meet all of the requirements to qualify students for K-12 teacher certification in the State of Florida; however, if this is your goal (and to learn more about teacher certification), please contact Dr. Su Gao (Su.Gao@ucf.edu) in the College of Community Innovation and Education.

The courses you can use to complete this degree include all that are STEM-based, and you can complement your degree with one or more STEM-based minor or certificate programs. The Integrated Science Education Track is also a good option for students who have a foundation in the sciences but are looking for more flexibility to apply additional STEM-based courses toward degree completion.
