The Leadership degree program takes an interdisciplinary approach to the understanding of leadership and its application and role in organizations and society. This degree program will help students better understand their role as leaders and the ways in which they can maximize that role to make a positive impact in their communities, organizations, and our society.
This degree program can be completed completely online. The core classes are offered exclusively online.

High Impact Experience

- Earn at least 3 credits from the following types of courses: Exclusive of courses in the major: Three (3) credit hours in undergraduate research, internship, study abroad and/or service-learning high impact experience identified courses.
Grand Total Credits: 21
Courses often involve an experiential learning component and are discussion and project-based. LDR 3115 is an HIP Service-Learning designated course whereby all students will complete a 15-hour service-learning project and apply it to their leadership skills and strengths.

Minor / Certificate Options:
While a minor or certificate is not required for this degree, it is recommended to develop further expertise in an area related to the student’s specialization track.
Please note: students cannot complete Leadership major and earn the Leadership minor or Leadership certificate.
Electives:
Earn remaining credits from primarily upper-level courses to meet graduation requirement of 120 credit hours. Strongly recommend consulting with your academic success coach to satisfy the university minimum exit requirements and personal/professional goals.

Other Requirements:
- Earn a grade of "C-" (1.75) or better in each course used to satisfy the major, unless otherwise specified.
- All 21-22 credit hours used in the major must be earned at UCF.
- No credit by exam (TSD, Military credit) may be used for core, track, and high impact experience courses.
- Students cannot complete major in Leadership and earn the Leadership minor or the Leadership certificate.
- Students must declare the Leadership major prior to filing their intent to graduate.
- Students cannot enroll in this program as a double degree, double major or second degree.
- Students are responsible for meeting prerequisites.
University Minimum Exit Requirements:
- A 2.0 UCF GPA
- 42 semester hours of upper division credit completed
- 30 of the last 39 hours of course work must be completed in residency at UCF.
- A maximum of 45 hours of extension, correspondence, CLEP, Credit by Exam, and Armed Forces credits permitted.
- Complete the General Education Program, the State Writing and Math Requirement, and nine hours of Summer credit (if applicable).
