There is a growing demand for skilled professionals who can design, implement, and evaluate effective training programs in a rapidly evolving job market. Upon completion of this 18-credit hour certificate program, students will become Training and Development (T&D) specialists or managers who support the upskilling and reskilling needs of Florida's workforce talent pipelines in emerging, high-demand fields crucial for economic development and global competitiveness in any industry.

Students seeking this career pathway will plan, direct, coordinate, and/or facilitate work-related training and development activities to improve individual or employee knowledge and skills that enhance organizational performance. Students will also learn how to develop training curriculum through analysis of organizational needs as well as evaluate training effectiveness using labor market data guided by appropriate organizational and adult learning theories.

Other occupation classifications include Learning and Development, Talent Development, and Workforce Development Trainers.

UCF Online students that are seeking a minor or certificate may only enroll in programs that are available fully online.
