Designed for students interested in a career in wealth management. Wealth management offers a variety of roles including wealth mangers, portfolio managers, and estate planners, each focusing on different aspects of managing and growing clients' wealth.

The program will be approved by the CFP Board, allowing students to forego taking most of the various online modules required before sitting for the CFP exam. This minor is open to all UCF Students.

Minor Admission Requirements

  • Open to all Finance majors
  • CBA students who are NOT qualified to be Finance majors and non-CBA majors need a 'C' or better in FIN 3403 and a 'B' or better in FIN 3105.
  • Non-finance majors will NOT be permitted to take other FIN classes.

Minor Requirements

  • Course overlap is waived between the Finance BSBA and the Wealth Management Minor. FIN 3124 and FIN 4133 count as Finance electives. RMI 3011 and BUL 4135 count as Restricted Electives for the Finance BSBA. FIN 3105 will count as a Business Elective. As such, Finance majors will be able to minor in Wealth Management without any additional hours.
  • Other CBA BSBA majors: Complete 15 additional hours: FIN 3105, FIN 3124, RMI 3011, BUL 4135, and FIN 4133.
    May overlap only 6 hours of required coursework.
  • Economics BS and Non-CBA majors: Complete 18 hours of required courses: FIN 3403, FIN 3105, FIN 3124, RMI 3011, BUL 4135, and FIN 4133.
    Economics BS may overlap only 6 hours of required coursework.
  • Must successfully complete all required courses with a ā€œCā€ or better.
