The minor provides students with an interdisciplinary knowledge of and the necessary tools and relevant knowledge to understand, study, and work with populations in Latin America and the Caribbean as well as Latinx communities. Students gain a broad understanding of Latin America, the Caribbean and Latinx communities in terms of their historical, cultural, social, economic, and political dimensions. They also develop critical thinking skills, and enhance multidisciplinary awareness and competence regarding the terminology and methods of various disciplines within the arts, humanities, and social sciences. The minor can be completed online.
